Welcome to the Smith Observatory in Geneva, N.Y. Noted for the discoveries of Dr. William R. Brooks, the observatory was built in 1888 by Genevan William Smith.

The observatory was acquired by Genevan John B. Mulvey in 1974 and his preservation efforts have kept this unique building open to the public and established for future generations.

Equipment includes a 10" Warner & Swasey refractor telescope, a 4" transit telescope and a Gerry self-winding clock.
